The WAVeurope Side-By-Side Kangoo is designed for you to sit next to your driver as a true front seat passenger and take in the view of the road ahead, and enjoy conversation with your driver.

The car is fitted with air suspension, which not only gives excellent ride and handling qualities, but also permits the rear of the car to lower towards the ground via a switch inside the rear door.

A short ramp provides access, and powered wheelchairs can then be steered through the car, or manual wheelchairs can be assisted through to the front passenger location where they are secured in place via a system of four adjustable restraints. A three-point inertia reel seat belt is provided for your safety and security, along with an airbag. Relocating the conventional gearshift closer to the driver ensures maximum space for your wheelchair and an electronic parking brake replaces the conventional, floor mounted lever. Overhead aviation-style compartments and a parcel shelf provide useful stowage space and the car’s tyres are Punctureseal* treated to help protect against most punctures!
Other standard equipment includes Renault Anti-Intruder device, remote controlled door locking, anti-lock brakes and a single, folding rear passenger seat, located behind the driver. |

The WAVeurope Side-By-Side Kangoo is designed to accommodate a wheelchair passenger in the front passenger’s location, next to the driver.
You access the car by opening the rear doors, then lowering firstly the rear suspension, then the short access ramp. Guide your wheelchair through the car to the regular front passenger’s position, and the four-belt restraints can be attached to hold your wheelchair firmly in place for travelling.
But it doesn’t end there. The conventional gearshift has been relocated and the hand brake has been removed altogether and replaced by our auto brake; an electronic, automatic parking brake. This permits maximum space for your wheelchair. One rear passenger’s seat is provided behind the driver and overhead aviation-style compartments and a parcel shelf provide useful stowage space. The car’s tyres are Punctureseal* treated to help protect against punctures and to negate the need for a spare wheel to be carried.
The vehicle is powered by Renault’s 1.6 16v petrol engine and is only available with this unit and with automatic transmission. Authentique trim level is used with a ‘cost option’ upgrade available for the Expression variant.
The car features an immobiliser, Renault’s RAID anti-intruder device and remote controlled central locking. Driver’s and front passenger’s air bags are included as is power assisted steering and anti-lock brakes.
